About the tour

Departure towards Al Salt, famous for its Ottoman architecture, traditional streets, and unique atmosphere of cultural harmony. We will walk through the streets of Al Salt to have the opportunity to visit some of the city’s most emblematic sites, which hold great heritage value. Then, we continue for a first encounter with the city of Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. We’ll take a panoramic tour of the King Abdullah I Founder Mosque (entrance not included), with free time to take photos. Next, we head to the Citadel (panoramic view), which features Roman ruins on one of the city’s hills, offering a wonderful view over Amman. Here, we’ll see the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace, and the Archaeological Museum. We’ll take a short walk through the steep streets to reach the viewpoint from which we can enjoy a privileged view of the Roman Theatre, located in the heart of the city. There will be free time to stroll through the Old Town and the city center. We'll walk to Hashem Restaurant, a traditional local restaurant serving typical Jordanian food, Including falafel, hummus, and other local dishes. After lunch, we’ll enjoy a traditional Jordanian dessert: the famous knafeh at Habiba Sweets. Finally, we’ll continue walking toward Rainbow Street, one of the city’s most lively areas, known for its bohemian atmosphere and panoramic views.
